Mathematics Department - Summer Support for Ph.D. Students

Summer Support for Ph.D. Students

Mathematics Graduate Program

The graduate program does not routinely offer summer support for its Ph.D. students. Possibilities for summer support include:

  • First year students are usually given a small summer fellowship from the Weill endowment.
  • Students who have a good record in their TA assignments have the opportunity to teach a Mathematics course in the Rutgers summer session. Students interested in this should contact the Mathematics undergraduate office during the spring semester.
  • Some (usually advanced) students may be supported by research grants of individual faculty members.
