Textbook list, Fall 2008
Information on textbooks for all Undergraduate Mathematics courses at the New Brunswick and Piscataway campuses of Rutgers is collected here. This information is cumulative since the Fall 2000 semester. Course numbers are followed by brackets containing the codes F for Fall Semester courses, S for Spring Semester courses, U for sUmmer Semester courses, or any combination of these. Changes in textbook for the current semester are indicated at the end of the item (including upgrades to new editions). When available, a link to a suitable page on the publisher's web site has been included. Information about particular books can be found in a few steps from this link. In a few cases, there is a fixed page devoted to the particular text which is indicated by a link marked (text).
The title, author or ISBN number can also be used to find information from on-line bookstores such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble or Borders; or from sites like Aaapricesearch, A1Books, BookByte, BookFinder4U, BooksPrice.com (this one allows comparison of several books in a single search), BuyUsedTextbooks, Campus Books, CampusI, Chambal, CheapestTextbooks, CollegeSwapShop or Direct Textbook that collect information from many stores. The site iChapters offers individual chapters in electronic format from college textbooks, as well as discounts on textbooks in both electronic and print format.
On January 1, 2007, the 10 digit ISBN was replaced by the expanded ISBN-13. Those numbers will be added to this page as they become available. To learn more, see ISBN13 For Dummies. Although the older 10 digit numbers will remain on this page, some sites no longer recognize them, so the 13 digit number should be used for most searches.
Information about availablity of textbooks at local stores can be found at the sites of those stores:
Both store sites have a link to select individual courses for more information.
