If you are using version 5 of Maple, the command linagl[stack] has been replaced in that version by the command linalg[stackmatrix]. If you wish to use the bisection algorithm as a template for your programming assignment, you must make the corresponding change in your program or it will get a recursion error. Maple does not automatically upgrade it.
