The following links point to important information about the operation of the course. Students are expected to be familiar with the policie and procedures described. Additional information will be posted here during the term. Students should check back periodically.

Information Related to the Final Exam

  • The final exam will be cumulative and will count 250 points. It is a closed book exam. Student prepared formula sheets will not be allowed. An official formula sheet (see the copy below) will be provided. Calculators MAY NOT be used on the final exam.

    Time and Location

  • The final exam will be from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 6, 2010. Consult your instructor or Mathematics Department Final Exam Schedule to find out the location of the exam, which may be different from your usual classroom.

    Review Sessions

  • Professor Lipper will hold a review session from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 4, in RAB-001 (DOUGLASS)
  • Professor Noone will hold a review session from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM on Tuesday, May 4, in SC-123 (CAC)
  • Professor Soffer will hold a review session from 2:00 to 7:00 on Tuesday, May 4, in Hill-114 (BUSCH). Professor Soffer will begin a Power Point presentation at 2:00 sharp. Students need to be on time if they wish to see all of this presentation. She will cover many of the problems from the "General Review Problems" list posted below. At the conclusion of the Power Point presentation she will answer questions.
  • Professor Wilson will hold a review session from 2:00 to 5:00 on Wednesday, May 5, in Hill-114 (BUSCH). He will work problems from two actual final exams from prior years.     For help in Math 135 come to Professor Sara Soffer's

    WEEKLY MATH 135 CLINIC

    in ARC 328 (BUSCH). Beginning on March 9, the clinic will start at 4:00. (This is a change from the schedule in prior weeks.) There will be two rounds of extra help: first from 4:00 to 5:40 and then from 5:40 to 7:00. This is to make sure that everyone has the opportunity to work on the same problems. Students are welcome to stay for the entire time.

    REVIEW SESSIONS FOR EXAM #2

  • Professor Robert Wilson will hold a review session for the second exam in Hill-116 (BUSCH) on Saturday, April 3, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. (Professor Wilson is the lecturer for Sections 16-18, but students from any section may attend.)   • REVIEW SESSIONS FOR EXAM #1

  • Professor Sara Soffer will hold a review session for the first exam in Hill-114 (BUSCH) on Friday, February 19, beginning at 5:00 PM. (Professor Soffer is the lecturer for Sections 01-03 and 06-08, but students from any section may attend.) She will discuss problems from Math 135 First Exam Review Problems (Soffer) and also additional problems from other sets of review problems. She will also answer individual questions. Students are encouraged to write down their questions and hand then in at the beginning of the review.
