The Final Exam is Wednesday May 13, 8:00-11:00 AM in TIL-257.
This exam will cover sections 4.1-4.6, 7.6, 8.1-8.8, 8.10, 8.12, 12.1-12.5, 13.1-13.8, 14.1, 15.3-15.4.
You are expected to know the contents of these sections (including definitions, theorems, examples, methods, ideas, etc.). It is also a great idea to know how to do the homework problems, midterm problems, and review problems.
Exceptions: We did not discuss singular Sturm-Liouville problems (section 12.5, pages 678-679).
No calculators, books, notes, etc. will be allowed during the test. You may bring a pen/pencil, an eraser, and an old-fashioned watch. In addition the following formula sheets will be provided: LTtable2, mt2form, finform.
Here are some practice problems for sections 15.3-15.4, and here are the review problems: 421ref1, 421rev2, 421revf. Solution to 421revf: page 1, page 2, page 3, page 4.
In response to student demand, here are some practice prblems for time-dependent BVPs.
I will have office hours Tuesday 5/12, at 1:30 PM, in Hill 423.
Good luck!
