Here are the syllabi for the two semesters and some miscellaneous handouts.
Math 151 (First semester)
Here is the detailed syllabus as
given to students in one of the lectures of Math 151, including a
daily description of the topics to be covered, with corresponding
textbook reading and problem assignments. There's also a description
of the rules of the course and a
brief essay about writing
solutions to workshop problems.
Math 152 (Second semester)

given to students in one of the lectures of Math 152, including a
daily description of the topics to be covered, with corresponding
textbook reading and problem assignments.
This syllabus was not as successful as the first semester's. We should
discard most of the physics (work, centers of mass, etc.) since there
isn't time to cover the material well. The inclusion of technology in
the course was not done as well or as uniformly as in the first
semester. The graphing calculator should be used better with series
and sequences.
Simple TI-82 programs for
numerical integration were prepared and given to students.
Students in Math 152 who had not been in
Math 151
Some students in Math 152 who had not taken Math 151 in the preceding
semester were unfamiliar with the pedagogy and content of the first
semester. A two-hour review session was given to help these students.
Handouts were prepared including one on the the use of the graphing
calculator during the first semester. Sample workshop problems from the first
semester were given out, accompanied by discussion. The content of the
first semester was reviewed rapidly, because some of the new students
did not take a first-semester calculus course which featured the
elementary transcendental functions.
