Meier and Zerlina Bach

Meier Bach was born on July 3, 1828. Around 1854, he married
Zerlina Kuhl Bach (1827-1913) daughter of
Abraham Kuhl (1793-March 16, 186?) and Madel bat
Hayim Kuhl (Wuestensachsen, 1797-Unsleben(?), June 21, 1857).
Meier died on Feb. 28, 1906 at the age of 79,
and Zerlina Kuhl Bach died
on May 27, 1913, at the age of 82.

Meier and Zerlina had eight children.

Regina Bach Guttermann (Oct. 23, 1858- May 10, 1937).
Regina married Mr. ? Guttermann
and they had two children. Helen, who died in the holocaust, and
Max. Max married Lina (born Friedmann).
Max played for the soccer team
of Fuerth [see `Kissinger' by Walter Issacson, p. 21].
Max and Lina Gitterman had one child:
Henry (1923- Nov. 29, 2016), grew up in Fuerth, near Nurenberg,
and excelled at soccer, far surpassing his
classmate, Henry Kissinger.
Around 1936, Max, Lina and
Henry moved to the United States, and their family name became
Gitterman, and settled at Washington Heights, upper Manhattan,
New York City. Henry became a president of Beth Hillel, which
was a `nice place to meet girls from the same background'
[ibid, p. 36].
Henry is married to Eva. Henry and Eva have
three children.
Amy (1953- ca. 2005), who was married to Brian, and whose
children are Alice (born 1986) and the twins David and
Rachel (born 1990); Jane (born 1955) who is married to Steve,
and has no children; and
Matt Gitterman (born 1965), who is married
to Nancy, and whose chidren are Henry (born 1996, a very good tennis player, like his father and grandfather) and Emma
(born 1999).

Gabriel Bach (July 9, 1861-Jan. 28, 1921)
, my great-grandfather.

Moses Bach (March 22, 1863- ca. July 1942), who was married to Fanny, and who had a son,
Siegfried Bach and and daughter, Rita Bach Kalbermann,
who was married to Mr. Kalbermann. Rita had a son.
Moses died in the holocaust. His wife Fanny (nee Reis) was also deported, but survived, and died in Lugano om July 10, 1949.

Samuel Bach and Heffel Kohn Bach.
