I have told anyone who cares to listen (including George Andrews) as far back as 25 years ago during my ten minute talk at Ramanujan100 (that took place at Urbana, IL), and again during my sixty minute talk at Ramanujan125 (held at Gainesville, FL) a few months ago, that G.H. Hardy (and so many other people!) unnecessarily invoke analysis when it is not needed. But few people listen, because they seem to love analysis, so why not use it, whether or not it is needed?

So I wrote this parody to make fun of them, but knowing them, they would make fun of me for not liking analysis.

Added Jan. 6, 2013: Read Ole Warnaar's eloquent defense of analysis.
