  Welcome to MAT 640:481 - Mathematical Theory of Statistics
 
This course develops the basic mathematical theory of statistics: sampling distributions, parameter estimation, hypothesis testing and such. This course focuses on the theoretical foundations of the statistical analysis of lists of empirical data, on concepts, not on recipes.
 
There are weekly homework assignments, some quizzes, two in-class midterms, and a final exam.

May 15:   Final Exam 8-11 am
There will be no make-ups. Anyone absent for a quiz or exam will receive a zero for that grade category.
