Dear Students, Here are some faq . I will not answer questions from individuals, whose answers are contained in this message. Please read carefully. 1) You are allowed a 5''x7'' (5 by 7 inches) INDEX CARD that you must prepare yourself, written, in handwriting (ink) (not typed), ONLY containing formulas and tables (e.g. sin (pi/4)= sqrt(2)/2) You can use BOTH SIDES, but I recommend that you only use one side, since this allotment of "cheat sheet" is the same for Exam 2 and the FINAL, and you should leave room for future formulas. 2) The exam lasts the whole period (80 minutes). Make sure to PRINT your name in PRINT BLOCK CAPITALS as well as the Section. 3) There is plenty of room for scratch work on the exam itself. Should you need extra scratch paper, it will be supplied by the proctors, and should be handed in with the test. You may not use your own paper. 4) Thre are TEN questions, each worth 10 points. The maximum score is 100. 5) I hope to hand the graded tests on Monday, Oct. 15. I will not waste class time. So please come 10 minutes early, or stay after class to pick it up. 6) Please don't ask me what letter grade it is equivalent to. for individual tests, I only give numerical scores. Then I add them up at the end of the semester, and the letter grade is determined according to the recipe in the syllabus. 7) If you know how to do all the homework problems, you should be in good shape. 8) If for some reason you are missing some of the handouts, you can download them from the secret directory: http://www.math.rutgers.edu/~zeilberg/calc3 It has a listing of many PDF files. Download (or print out) whatever you want. For example, the handout for section 14.6 is called ho146.pdf 9) Get a good night's sleep. Good luck, and don't study TOO MUCH. Especially, don't study the last minute. It will only confuse you. If you were keeping up all along, then you should not have to study that hard. Good luck Dr. Z.
