The benefits of becoming a member of ONLY SCC II
If you qualify for membership, then your course grade will be computed in
two ways. The first way is the usual way,
counting everything, the
second way only using the grades of Exam 1, and the quizzes (and the 20 points for a neat and organized notebook) and the Final exam divided by 400 and multiplied by 500.
Whatever is higher, is your
final course score that would determine your grade,
according to the scale:
450500:A ;
420449: B+ ;
390419: B ;
360389: C+ ;
315359: C ;
270314: D ;
0269: F . No Curve!.

How to qualify to be a member of the SCC for Exam II

Don't ask me in person, or write me email, asking me questions whose answers are clearly stated in this page
(if you do, you would be disqualified).

Each absence should be excused and the makeup work should be completed (per the class policy).

Show up to the Marathon review, (via WebEx, invitations will be sent) Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023 : 10:00am1:00pm:
It is MANDATORY for people who want to be in the SCC I and/or SCC II. [Attendance will be taken]

For EVERY real quiz, starting at real Quiz 5, and for EVERY attendance quiz starting at attendance quiz 10,
make up TWO similar problems and do them completely, in your own handwriting.

For every question in Exam 2 that you did not get completely right,
explain what you did wrong, convince me that you understood your mistake, and
make up THREE similar problems and solve them completely.

Combine all this work into a .pdf file called scc2FirstLast.pdf (e.g. ssc2JoeBiden.pdf) and email it, as an attachment, with Subject: ssc2 to
