1. Using Maple, find the (i) fixed points of x -> 3.6x(1-x)
(ii) Stable fixed points by hand

(i) Maple gives fixed points as [0, 0.722222222222]. Numerically, 0.7222222 is 2.6/3.6, as I calculated by hand below. 
 
(ii) x = 3.6x-3.6x^2
x = 0 or 2.6/3.6
f'(x)=3.6-7.2(x)
f'(2.6/3.6) = -1.6


2. What other constant did Michelle Feigenbaum discover?
He discoverd the first constant, or the limiting ratio of bifurcation interval to the next, and the second constant, which is the ratio between the width of a tine and the width of two subtines (not exactly sure what this is).
