The Princeton Physics team were the winners of the 2002 Fred Almgren memorial race trophy, defending their title with a time of 2:34, at a pace of 6:11 minutes/mile. This year, there were eight teams competing. The Rutgers Undergraduate team ran the third leg in the wrong direction, and their team time was computed "virtually." The Princeton Applied Math team was formed like a Feynman diagram, starting and ending with one runner but with two runners on several intermediate legs. The results are presented below in a series of tables :
Timers: End Leg 1 (Kingston) and leg 3 (BWMills) timed by Weibel;
End Leg 4 (E.Millstone) by J. Kruczek; end Leg 6 (5m lock) by Eva Curry.
End of race timed by Jean Taylor.

*=RUEN started leg 4 at 11:15:30, about 5 minutes early,
finished at 11:29:55
x2=PAM had three runners on leg 4; two runners (Gerber&Doran) on leg 5
began when Calderbank finished, ran 2.4 miles in tendem to South Bound Brook
Locks, and handed off to one runner (Rudin). She ran 3.4 miles, until DeMott
Lane. The last half of leg 7 (2.0 miles) was run by two runners (Gerber&Doran)
in tandem.
