My course on INTRODUCTION TO REAL ANALYSIS I (Mathematics 311, Section 01, meets on Monday and Wednesday 5th period (3:20-4:40 PM), in BE-251, Livingston Campus.
WORKSHOP: The workshop, conducted by Prof. Chloe Wawrzyniak, meets on Thursday, 5th period (3:20-4:40 PM), in BE-251, Livingston Campus.
TEXTBOOK : We will be using the book Introduction to Analysis (fifth edition), by Edward D. Gaughan , American Mathematics Society, ISBN: 978-0-8218-4787-9.
- Students are advised to study carefully the sections of the book covered in class and, in particular, to learn and understand all the proofs.
- Students should bring the book to every lecture.

HOMEWORK: Homework will usually be due every Wednesday, but there may special occcasions when a homework assignment will be due on a Monday.

THE FINAL GRADE: The final grade will be determined by taking into account the grades for the midterms, the grade for the final exam, the grades for homework, performance in the workshop, and the attendance record:

The midterm exams will be worth 22% of the final grade (11% for each midterm).
The final exam will be worth 24% of the final grade.
Homework will be worth 23% of the final grade.
Performance in the workshop will be worth 23% of the final grade.
Attendance will be worth 8% of the final grade.
