My course on INTRODUCTION TO MATHEMATICAL REASONING (Mathematics 300, Sections 02 and 09) meets as follows:

Section 02 meets in SEC 204 (Busch Campus), on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5th period, 3:20 PM to 4:40 PM;

Section 09 meets in BE-003 (Livingston Campus), on Mondays and Wednesdays, 6th period, 5:00 PM to 6:20 PM.

the lecture notes written by the instructor, which will be regularly posted on this Web page.
the book A Transition to Advanced Mathematics (eight edition, 2015), by Douglas Smith, Maurice Eggen, and Richard St. Andre , Brooks/Cole Cengage Learning, ISBN:978-1285463261.

The instructor's notes are the main reading for the course. Students are also encouraged to read the book, which will provide them with an alternative perspective, but the main reading is the instructor's notes.

- Friday, May 10, 2019, 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM, for section 2,
- Friday, May 10, 2019, 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, for section 9.

HOMEWORK: Homework will usually be due every Monday (for section 9) and Tuesday (for section 2), but there may be special occasions when a homework assignment will be due on a different day.

THE FINAL GRADE: The final grade will be determined by taking into account the grades for the midterms, the grade for the final exam, the grades for the homework, and class atendance,

The midterm exams will be worth 36% of the final grade (18% for each midterm).
The final exam will be worth 36% of the final grade.
Homework will be worth 20% of the final grade.
Class atendance will be worth 8% of the final grade.
