    Midterm Exam #1 (Chapters 1 and Sections 2.1 – 2.3) – in class on February 19 - 100 points
    Midterm Exam #2 (Sections 2.4-2.6 and Chapters 3,4) – in class on April 14 - 100 points
    Homework assignments - 100 points
  • Final Examination (Chapters 1 – 5) – As announced by University schedule: – Wednesday, May 13, 8:00 – 11:00 AM in SEC – 204 - 200 points
  • Exam dates will not change if previous classes are cancelled due to campus closings.  However, material to be covered may be adjusted

Announcements

1: Office hours on Monday, 5/4, are cancelled.

2: Review problems for the final exam will be posted on 4/30. Solutions will be posted on 5/6.

3: There will be a review session for the final exam from noon to 3PM on Wednesday, 5/6, in ARC-110 (Busch).

4: Office hours during reading and exam periods will be held in Hill-340 as follows: Thursday 5/7: 9-11 AM; Monday 5/11: 1-3 PM; Tuesday 5/12: 9-11 AM and 4-6 PM.

Required Homework Problems

There will be 12 homework assignments.  Each assignment will be graded on a scale of 0 – 10 and the sum of the ten best homework assignments will be the homework grade.  Solutions to homework problems will  be posted on this website about 24 hours after the homework is due and late assignments will not be accepted after that time. (Students who cannot submit an assignment on time for a serious reason, e.g., illness, may be excused from that assignment.  See me if this applies to you.)
