What do you like best about this course?:

It promoted great morale among the students as we work together to solve problems.

The emphasis on understanding the theory prior to applying a concept.

Easy to follow.

The course provided a background into why much of the math we take for granted is possible.

The workshops were very helpful with the homework.

TA was able to explain problems more clearly than the professor at times

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

Make the information more accessible. Carlen's textbook that was provided is not the same material we do in class.

Prove more theorems in class and use examples/applications more often.

No idea.

I would focus less on proofs and more on the implications of the theorems themselves.

Have more recitations, not just every few weeks.

Incorporate this particular TA into the course more often

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

I learned to think deeply and creatively about math.

I have become more rigorous, concise, and clear in my mathematical reasoning.

Encourage us to discuss with each other.

This TA was very helpful in helping us understand the details of the content that was moved through very quickly during the main lecture.

I learned how to self-study, especially since the pace of the course was incredibly fast.

She explained things in an easy-to-understand way
