What do you like best about this course?:

The opportunity to go over the topics in lecture in a guided manner

Rebecca

Rebecca was really easy to talk to! Even in her office hours, she's willing to help :)

The TA had a pleasant personality and was always cheerful.

She taught the material in such a way that I was able to understand it, unlike how my actual professor did in lecture.

The work was good practice. We reviewed confusing material.

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

no workshops, use the time to help students learn what they dont understand instead

The stringency of the writeup grading actually hurt me because i lost major points on really minor things... And i'm not the only one

Go over workshop answers in class.

She was very sweet and everything but I just think that she grades a bot harshly. She gets very picky with words,

Nothing.

Make work more challenging for exam practice.

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

it forces you to learn material by yourself so i guess thats good in the end

hate calc less now

I liked how she was very sweet and liked to smile a lot. She would go over the material before the quiz just so we don't be nervous. I never a TA caring about us being nervous or not. But I really liked that about her.

She explained the material in a clear cut, bare bones, way so that she made sure we understood the basics, which was something everyone in my class needed because lecture was too confusing.

None.

Other comments or suggestions::

Rebecca is an amazing TA. She is always so nice and helpful!

workshops are inefficient pieces of crap

-

Recitation should be used to practice more problems and go over them while in recitation. Workshop problems are unnecessarily difficult and instead of using recitation to reinforce concepts we just sit there struggling, not learning anything. Recitations should be revised to be more like physics recitation where the instructor can go over key homework problems and answer any student questions. Workshop problems should be applicable to science and engineering work we will see in future courses.

She is a really great teacher.

None.
