What do you like best about this course?:

Becky's enthusiasm.

I liked that both my professor and recitation teacher were always available to help is out and answer questions.

I liked the teaching style of both the Professor and the Recitation instructor.

The instructor was very enthusiastic, and gave steps for certain topics that helped me understand the material in away the instructor at lecture did not.

That the instructor gave steps to each problem and then showed an example of how to do the problem.

The recitation TA was helpful as were the quizzes

the history lessons on calculus that she gives in the beginning of class - so fun

Although I did not like that during recitation the TA only reviewed how to apply the concepts being tested on to simple and easy examples, I liked that we had some kind of review before the quiz even though the review was not that helpful.

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

Nothing, I love the way Becky teaches

I would go a little slower when teaching the material.

I would hold more recitations, so that, instead of compressing a week's materials into 45 minutes, we could take a bit longer to understand it.

I would give more time for the quiz at the end of class. I found that many times I knew the material, but did not have enough time to finish the problem.

better time management when discussing concepts

I would review the concepts the class is being tested on by first reviewing how to use the concept and then using harder examples during the review that more accurately matched up the difficulty level of problems on the quiz. I would also make sure that I had enough time to fully cover all the examples I had planned to use during the review so that I was not rushed for time.

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

She breaks things down so I can understand them better.

This course has taught me to be extremely precise in answering questions.

By allowing me to comprehend where my interests lie.

The instructor's love for math is very refreshing, I love it. It makes me enjoy math more.

The course has made me understand the material in a less complicated way.

None

Other comments or suggestions::

She spends too little time completing hard problems similar to to the ones on the quiz

With more quiz time and a little more organization, it would be perfect.

The instructor was always very helpful

The questions given during the quiz take more time to work out because they are difficult. Since the class does not review these types of difficult problems during review part of recitation we take more time solving the problems. Sometimes we aren't given enough time to complete the quiz
