What do you like best about this course?:

I like the application of the concepts to everyday life and other subjects.

I like the depth that Becky goes into when trying to answer our questions.

They can really help you understand the small details in the problem solving process

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

Be more efficient with time. Oftentimes there were concepts that were simply not covered or taught incorrectly so that when students used these concepts on quizzes they were used incorrectly and when graded the students would be penalized.

cover more challenging material during recitation

Go slower or at least explain more in depth about certain subjects.

I would be more careful with time management since topics in recitation are sometimes complicated and difficult to review in what feels like an insufficient amount of time.

Add more time or go a bit faster

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

Sometimes she tells stories about the inspiring people who created the theorems we work with, but since I don't feel relatively pushed to learn the actual concept with the instructor, I can't say much else.

I've been able to fine tune some aspects of calculus because of the small class size and it's really beneficial to my work.

Becky has a great attitude toward the subject and really encourages students' interest to understand the material. For students who stay after recitation or attend office hours, Becky patiently goes over problems and it really helps.

They slow it down compared to lecture so you can understand more thoroughly

Other comments or suggestions::

She should communicate more with the professor about methods of solving problems and have exactly what she plans to teach us written down (more than just the general topics).
