What do you like best about this course?:

I liked that we get to learn one more about the things that we learned in lecture class.

He broke everything down very nicely. He made me interested in the material. He was very good at connecting with his students to make everything easy to understand.

Works well with the students to make sure all are in understanding and prepared

I like best the fact that Pat is easy to come to for advice on math problems, it makes solving the harder problems much easier.

Pat was able to make recitation interesting with humor in his problems. I enjoyed his recitations and learned a great deal from them

Being able to ask questions.

Pat is the best part, he is great at making learning fun and effective.

The teacher

Pat was the best part of this course. i felt he helped a lot when it came to understanding material that was difficult to understand.

The TA, Pat, communicated effectively with us and encouraged us to ask questions. He knew the subject very well and greatly assisted us with difficult material.

GREAT

The extra help.

The instructor was very engaging and explained things very well.

He is good at teaching. Should let him lecture.

Patrick was very helpful and would always explain topics in further detail if anyone was having trouble understanding them.

The math

Pat was a very funny guy

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

I would try to focus more on the topics and try to be more organized

n/a

Nothing at all.

Nothing

Nothing

More involved classes

NAH

Don't tell students to pick their battles. TEACH the epsilon proof so they don't loose 15 point on their midterm....

There is nothing I would do differently.

I would explain things slower

it was perfect

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

He taught difficult concept in funnier ways.

He showed us just how important calculus was with real life examples.

allowed me to look at mathematics in a different way and understand that there are multiple types of mathematics.

Pat regularly takes time to discuss things with students after class, ranging from careers in mathematics to understanding more complex problems; each of these have helped my intellectual growth and progress.

Pat has encouraged me to go beyond the assigned work and allowed me to learn more than I otherwise would have

Workshops

He sometimes teaches us about things that aren't exactly in the course, but still apply to math and calculus.

It got me to talk more

He is always available for extra help at his office hours which greatly aids in understanding and reinforcing what we learned in lecture.

YES!!

Patrick was always willing to help with homework or preparing for an exam, so that helped me

It has taught me to take studying seriously

he could have fully answer problems
