What do you like best about this course?:

I enjoyed Mr.Saied extra review sessions, It was a great refresher before the exam. He answered everyone's questions very quickly and efficiently. When explaining concepts, he knew the perfect balance between talking and writing on the board.

The theories.

Instructor answered many questions and generated interest in the course material.

He was a great TA overall and was excellent at explaining concepts and extra tips on solving problems.

Jason is friendly and helpful when available

The material

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

I wouldn't change anything about his teaching style. I would change his handwriting, I thinks a bit too big, but I also sit in the front, so maybe it helps people in the back

Nothing.

I would have more exam reviews because some of the questions on the exams I had never seen before or had very little experience in solving.

During your review session, I answered one of your questions, and you said my answer was correct. I continued by writing that exact response on the exam, and yet you took off points for my response. Please tell me how this is possible.

Jason has a huge load of students for this class, I would put more TAs per class or split the classes up further.

Do harder problems in class

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

By encouraging and answering questions

He's energetic about it.

He was great at encouraging students and providing additional resources and support in the course.

Being responsive to emails helped flow of homework assignments and MATLAB assignments

Other comments or suggestions::

None.

I did not visit the TA for this course.

This guys should just be the professor; he was way better than the actual professor of the course.

Math department needs more TAs and professors. The class is very large and this content deserves more individualized attention. It is a lot to expect one TA to be in charge of such a large section and it results in less students achieving high marks on exams (e.g. taking off a lot of points on exams for simple arithmetic mistakes because of some "rubric"). Moreover, Jason was not regularly at a class session which would have been helpful for questions during class.
