What do you like best about this course?:

I enjoy learning abstract material and applying it to problems.

Reviewing in the beginning

His ability to explain what he was doing

I found myself actually learning/understanding the most for this course during recitation because of the smaller setting, and flexibility.

Building off prior knowledge in calculus

The example problems we do before workshops were helpful.

I loved the tricks that Jason showed us, and was very friendly and went through every step.

Jason saied is probably the best ta i've ever had, hands down.

The recap of lecture in the beginning

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

I might avoid writing out long sentences on the board when explaining a concept or problem. It takes up unnecessary space that is made redundant by what was said out loud.

Idk if he controls it but I’d make the reviews and workshops more recent with what we’re doing in class bc usually it’s stuff from like one or two weeks ago

go slower

I would assign the homework for a given chapter for after the recitation. During recitation I actually learned and understood how to solve the problems.

Go over more problems in webassign.

nothing

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

I learned how to think critically and problem solve more effectively.

None I can think of

calc 2 is hard so it helped a little more

He always explained the concepts thoroughly.

N/A

Workshop problems were challenging, and when offered help by Jason, he would guide us in the right direction. In turn, we would be forced to critically think!

instructor is available for office hours every week and was very capable and showed genuine interest in our well-being as well as promoting our capabilities in math.

The instructor did a good job of explaining any concept we were unsure of which helped a lot.

Other comments or suggestions::

He is a good recitation instructor

Jason was a great teacher. He took time to explain concepts, was eager to help and to answer questions, and tried to make sure everyone understood the material.

Happy Holidays!!

Jason is the GOAT.
