(1): First Maple Project This Maple project is on torsion and its visualization. It is due Feb. 11. It will be fun and easy to do after the Lecture on Monday, Feb. 8 For those of you who are not familiar with Maple, here is the Maple worksheet I used to treat my knot and make the plots in the write-up. You may modify this to solve the problems concerning your knot. This way, you can focus on the mathematics per se. Of course, you will need to either have Maple installed on your computer, or else use one of the computers in the labs since it is installed on those.
(2): Second Maple Project This Maple project is on solving systems of equations in several variables, using linearization in two different ways. Here is a sample Maple worksheet.
(3): Third Maple Project This Maple project is on computing integrals in three dimensions using coin tossing, or more precisely, pseudo random number generators. Here is a sample Maple worksheet.
