This talk will serve as a gentle introduction to growth functions arising from residual properties of groups. Along the way, we will discuss useful extensions of least common multiples, the Prime Number Theorem, and Bertrand’s Postulate to the class of non-commutative groups. We end the talk with some accessible open problems.
