Title:
One-Bit Quantization: 0-1 Sequences with Prescribed Moving Averages
Abstract:
One-bit quantization is a method of representing functions by 0-1 sequences defined on increasingly dense grids in such a way that appropriate local averages of these sequences approximate the functions increasingly well. In this talk, we present the recent progress on some of the extremal problems in the approximation theory of one-bit quantization in certain functional settings.
