Grading:

Midterm 1, September 27, 20%
Midterm 2, October 27, 20%
Final exam, Tuesday, December 20, 8-11 am, in SEC 217, 40%
Weekly Homeworks, 20% total. The lowest two homework scores will be dropped.

Homework Policy:

1) Late homework is not accepted.

2) It is fine to discuss the problems with others, but writeups must be individual. If you have received help for solving a problem, then cite your source(s).

Chapter 8: 8.1 and 8.4.
Chapter 11: 11.1 - 11.3. We did not cover Pepin's test in 11.2. In addition we skipped the proofs of 11.2 and 11.3.
