- July 26th 2007 -- After three weeks of an intense project of new improvisatory music in Weimar, Germany, Alex returns home. The project consisted of seven musicians from three continents: Alex, Alan Bern (Berlin), Aaron Alexander (NY), Paul Brody (Berlin), Cesar Lerner (Buenos Aires), Marcelo Moguilevsky (Buenos Aires), and Martin Lillich (Berlin). - June 28th 2007 -- DEEP MINOR European CD Release Party! At Ost Klub, Schwindgasse 1, Vienna, as part of the KlezMore Festival.
- May 12th 2007 -- Alex returns home from touring the Ukraine and proposes to his girlfriend!!! The wedding is scheduled for May 2008.
- Nov 6th 2006 -- The Klez Dispensers win Best Klezmer Album at Just Plain Folks 2006 Music Awards!
- Oct 23rd 2006-- German Goldenshteyn's "A Living Tradition" is on the ballot for the Grammy Awards in three categories!!! Best Traditional World Music Album, Best Engineered Album (King Django), and Producer of the Year (Alex Kontorovich).
- Sept 12th 2006 -- The Klez Dispenser's latest album "New Jersey Freylekhs" has two nominations in the
Just Plain Folks 2006 Music Awards! One for Best Klezmer Album, and one for Best Jewish Song (composition and performance) for "Russische Tzigane" (by Alex Kontorovich).
