WeBWorK was developed at the University of Rochester and is being used extensively at Rutgers University in this course. This semester, every section will be graded on the basis of their WeBWorK assignments, and up to 15% of the total grade will come from WeBWorK. Check with your professor to see the exact percentage for your section.

Below are the basic steps on how to get started.

  • To get started open your browser and go to WeBWorK

  • Logging in

  • Look at and do the problems in a set via your browser

  • Getting a hardcopy

  • Homework Scores

  • Logging out

  • NOTE: Most pages of WeBWorK also contain directions. Therefore, if you are ever unsure of what you should do, try reading the directions and descriptions on the page at which you are looking.

  • Finally if you run into difficulties with WeBWorK there is often a "Email WeBWorK Administrator" button which allow you to mail the WeBWorK administrator, NOT your instructor. If WeBWorK is not responding contact the system administrator. If you have mathematical difficulties with WeBWorK you should contact your TA or instructor.
