Grading algorithm

• Homework (30%)
• Final Project (30%)
• Take Home Final (24 hours) (40%)
  [followed by a scheduled 10 minute oral exam (via WebEx) to make sure that you did it all by yourself]

• All the FORMAL Lectures are PRE-RECORDED, and are MANDATORY to WATCH. There is a short "attendance quiz" (a .txt file) that must be returned by the due date.

  These empty attendance quizzes will NOT be emailed to you, but you must download them from the web-page of this class.

  These should be emailed by the due date to

  Subject: pX [where X=Lecture Number, e.g. for Lecture 6, "Subject: p6"]

  Note: Do NOT REPLY to one of my messages. Start a brand-new message,

  with an attachment

  pXFirstLast.txt [e.g. p3DonaldTrump.txt] [In other words, failing to email it may result in failing this class

  It doesn't count towards the grade, but submitting it is MANDATORY.

  I ACKNOWLEDGE ALL SUBMISSIONS. PLEASE SAVE MY ACKNOWLEDEGMENTS FOR PROOF THAT I GOT IT, IN CASE (FOR SOME REASON) I LOSE IT.

  IF YOU DON'T GET AN ACKNOWLEDGMENT WITHIN THREE DAYS. EMAIL IT AGAIN.

  If for some reason you are unable to meet the deadline, you should email me for an extension. If you fail to do this, you would automatically FAIL this class.

  IT IS BETTER TO SUBMIT AN EMPTY QUIZ or EMPTY HOMEWORK THAN NOTHING

• Whenever possible, you should attend the live recitations, if you can, but , of course, they are optional, since this class is AR. They are all recorded, and you are welcome to use them, but again, they are optional.

• Submitting the homework assigned

  by the due dates is also mandatory. If you can't do everything, (especially Maple coding at the beginning) I understand, but you MUST submit something (even the empty file) Also for homework.
