Dick Askey (b. June 4, 1933) is being celebrated by his many admirers and disciples next week at Madison, Wisconsin. This is a short tribute to one of my greatest heroes.

Added June 14, 2024: On June 8, 2024, 2:00-2:50pm local time, Howard Cohl gave a great Plenary talk about Dick Askey in the Legacy of Ramanujan, in honor of George Andrews and Bruce Berndt's 85 birthday. I strongly recommend it. You will learn a lot about my hero Dick Askey.
