WZ-pairs and forms are ideal for finding Apery-like series-acceleration formulas for hypergeometric series.

The paper comes with a small Maple package, accel

The present method produced a formula, given at the end of the paper, that was used by Bruno Haible and Thomas Papanikolaou to compute zeta(3) to a million digits. (Warning: if you have a slow connection, it may take a long time), thus beating the previous record of .52million digits of Greg Fee and Simon Plouffe.

Added Dec. 20, 1998: Sebastian Wedeniwski improved his own record of computing Zeta(3) to over 128 million digits, using the above formula. See Wedeniwski's message to Simon Plouffe.
