I have no objections to the "Crash course". Note, however, that you use
alpha and not a for the variables in the final formula; this is not
incorrect, but it still may be a typo.
Regarding the brief history, I have, unfortunately, no recollection of my
involvement, but
emails
show that it is correct. (Another example of your
thesis that computers are superior to humans, at least for certain tasks.)
