I just read your Opinion 171 about Jeff Shallit's post on Berlinksi. It comes across more as a personal attack than as a defense of Berlinksi, and not a fair or accurate one at that.

As for your defense of Berlinksi, We don't tolerate cranks in mathematics, so I don't see why we should tolerate cranks in other sciences. It's particularly irresponsible to glorify climate change skepticism. I agree with you that in a thousand years our debates on evolution will seem uninformed. But the debates on climate change are not such a laughing matter.

Would you consider removing the post, or posting my email as a response?
