What do you like best about this course?:
Doctor Z. give me second chance if i did not do well in one of the two exams.
I like Dr.Z best.
I did not really like the course all that much, it was really hard.
Concise, well organized lecture notes.
Dr. Z wants to see students succeed, he gives opportunities and fosters knowledge around the structure and formulae of multivariable calculus and never gives up explaining
Literally, Dr. Z is the best professor I've ever had. He very clearly cares so much about teaching and making sure that the students understood the material. A lot of professors seem to be more are less indifferent to whether or not the students understand/find the subject interesting but Dr. Z put in so much effort to make sure that we did. I really appreciated that.

The class is not too difficult.
Dr. Z's enthusiasm in teaching is what made this class an absolute joy. He took complicated multivariable calculus problems and showed us step by step how to solve everything, making it look so easy, and also making us laugh during lecture. Also the lecture notes printouts were extremely helpful!!!!
The instructor made the course material easy to understand.
study guides and exams are websites
I enjoyed how challenging it was and how its material correlated to the real world. I also enjoyed how passionately and patiently Dr. Z teaches mathematics and how encouraging he is towards students.
It was not as hard as previous calc
I liked how nicely structured it was. Dr. Z had his own website for everything. He even uploaded the hw problems for people who don’t have a textbook. I think it’s so nice of him to encourage learning and have his knowledge and notes readily available for everyone to learn. His notes are accessible for everyone to learn everywhere in the world and it’s so nice of him to share his knowledge and work with other people. The transparency is very much appreciated.
He's such a great professor, always comes in with a bright attitude and makes the lessons very easy to learn while presenting us with challenging scenarios
Dr. Z is very good at making complex topics simple
The lecture handouts posted on the website, and instructors effort to help students pass.
He is always excited to teach and has a passion that makes the 10am enjoyable to come to.
GREAT GUY
I liked that there was no Web Assign.
If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:
More partial credit.
Use WebAssign. As much as he dislikes using it, therefore refusing to use it, I believe it to be beneficial, given that it provides useful, concise information pertaining to the solution of problems. It also serves as a great studying tool, given that one can review everything without having to comb through the textbook.
Tell students to get a two subject notebook so they can take their lecture notes in the front and their homework in the back.

I would focus more on examples and the theory behind the math.
Give the attendance quizzes earlier and review them in class.
quizzes simpler, maple get rid of
There would be nothing that I do differently.
I wouldn't curve the class
Nothing. Dr. Z did such a great job. He did not make me hate math. So many other people taking multivariable with different professors are having a hard time but Dr. Z makes a hard class bearable and easily understandable with his clear notes on his website.
Nothing
Use an actual grading rubric when grading exams. There were students who had the same exact work down for problems on exams yet still had completely different grades for the problem

GREAT GYT
I would make sure to explain concepts thoroughly before assigning or going over problems or examples. I would emphasize setup over algebra.
In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:
Doctor z. teaches us to think and pratice by ourselves.
After a whole semester, I like Dr.Z even more! He is great professor ever.
It has prepared me to be more careful in problem solving.
Enthusiasm in lectures, giving small but memorable demonstrations in order to make seemingly abstract concepts more concrete.
Dr.Z has helped me focus and hone my ability to find mistakes in my math
The professor took attendance quizzes at the end of every lecture to check attendance and to make sure that all of us understood the material. Also, Dr. Z made a point of getting to know everyone's names which is made the class an encouraging and positive environment. Also, Dr. Z made some funny jokes which kept everyone engaged.

Dr. Z has in my opinion done a fantastic job teaching the course. His exams have been fair and he is always excited to teach the class new math.
Dr. Z has definitely made me enjoy and appreciate calculus more than I previously did. He made attending lectures fun and my calculus skills are definitely much improved.
The instructor made you think about the course material rather than give you the answer directly.
very good explanations
Dr. Z. has inspired me to see the beauty of mathematics in how it correlates to the real world in elegant solutions.
They really taught calc really well
Dr. Z has taught me that hard work pays off.
Dr. Z is super interested in programming and constantly encourages us to give it a try with maple.
Hes pushed me to be passionate for this course especially since my last professor really messed that up, his name is Professor Wong if you looking for professors to fire
None
Was genuinely interested in the material and made me excited and curious to learn more
GREAT GUY
I have learned how to study better.

Thank you so much Dr. Z!! I really appreciate all of the effort you put into our class and getting to know us all/making sure we learned. It's extremely inspiring.

It would be great if we were allowed to keep a cheat sheet during the exam as there are many things to memorize in this course and, according to me, math should not be something to be memorized.
Thank you for a wonderful semester, I hope I can take another one of your classes in the future!!

Dr. Z is a great professor.
Dr.Z’s second chance club is the second best thing about his course, first being his notes. It really is a good way for him to encourage people to keep working hard even if they didn’t do well on the exams. If someone didn’t do well on exams because they were having a bad day, then Dr. Z provided a way for them to redeem themselves with some extra effort. Honestly, I couldn’t have had a better multivariable calc professor. Thanks Dr. Z, you rock!!!!
Easily one of the best professors ive ever had, 10/10
The instructor taught in a way that gave students a strong conceptual groundwork to build off of
GREAT GUY
