Benefits of Memeberships

For members of SCC for Exam 1 Only

If you qualify for membership, then your course grade will be computed in two ways. The first way is the usual way, counting everything, the second way only counting exam 2 (out of 100), the score from the TA (out ot 90), the notebook score (out of 10), and the Final (out of 200) divided by 400 and multiplied by 500. Whatever is higher, is your course grade, determined according to the scale:

460-500:A ;   430-459: B+ ;   400-429: B ;   370-399: C+ ;   325-369: C ;   280-324: D ;   0-279: F . No Curve!.

For members of SCC for Exam 2 Only

If you qualify for membership, then your course grade will be computed in two ways. The first way is the usual way, counting everything, the second way only counting exam 1 (out of 100), the score from the TA (out ot 90), the notebook score (out of 10), and the Final (out of 200) divided by 400 and multiplied by 500. For members of SCC for Both Exam 1 and Exam 2

If you qualify for membership in both clubs (meeting all the requirements below), then your course grade will be computed in two ways. The first way is the usual way, counting everything, the second way only counting the score from the TA (out of 90), the notebook score (out of 10), and the Final (out of 200) divided by 300 and multiplied by 500. Whatever is higher, is your course grade, determined according to the scale:

460-500:A ;   430-459: B+ ;   400-429: B ;   370-399: C+ ;   325-369: C ;   280-324: D ;   0-279: F . No Curve!.
