What do you like best about this course?:

The professor.

The professor had a very clear structure to the course and stuck to the syllabus in a coherent way. I liked the progression of topics and appreciated the additional lecture notes from the professor.

It teaches you the basic skills of solving pde's in different engineering/physics-related circumstances.

Enthusiastic teacher, well paced.

Fantastic professor, Dr. Z is the best!

Course website was very organized and well-maintained. Lectures were entertaining and informative.

Such a great professor, and thoroughly explains everything. I wish I could have had you for every calc that I took at Rutgers!

This is the most interested I've ever been in math, which is saying something.

Professor made everything very clear and answered any questions/concerns students had. He also explained how the material is relevant to things outside of the academic world.

Great course! Very interesting. The professor REALLY wants the student to do well. Professor Z is very enthusiastic about the topic. It is sometimes fun to watch he get hysterical when people make silly mistakes. Lecture notes are extremely helpful!

That it is applicable to many things that I will continue to study

Dr. Z was made himself available for extra help quite a lot. The handouts were clear and concise.

The handouts posted online were very helpful

The professor's attitude and when he gave us money in class

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

Nothing, more teachers should be like this.

Nothing; I think the necessary topics were covered in adequate time

I would give the students problems that were more engaging and required a higher level of thinking.

Some grading policies (partial credit, etc.)

Absolutely nothing different, no one can teach as good as Dr. Z.

I wouldn't do anything differently.

Nothing really. Maybe an extra credit assignment.

I would cover less topics as to devote more time to more complicated topics. There were many lectures that got cut short because there wasn't enough time.

A worked out solutions manual might be asking for a lot, but it really helps when you're stuck on the HW and don't know where to go. Sometimes it wasn't the calc5 stuff that got me, but some algebra or identities.

nothing he is a great teacher

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

The professor encouraged student questions and held extra tutoring sessions and gave rewards for finding and fixing errors. I felt comfortable asking questions and voicing concerns about the course.

The course has allowed me to further see the inherent connections between math and physics.

Very energetic, friendly professor. He is the best professor i have ever come across.

The free tutoring on Mondays has really helped me and I appreciate that.

Best math teacher I've had, and this isn't even his subject area

The instructor has helped me learn new concepts and visual how they are implemented in practice.

Encouraged me to get behind the topic and explored about its meaning.

I now feel more confident in classes that involve pde's (which is a lot of my classes).

Other comments or suggestions::

None; Dr. Z is a fabulous professor

Great professor! Calc 5 Rocks!

Probably the only class i will miss going to. I am still going to write Dr. Z's shortcut if i ever encounter a Calc 5 question in the future.

You're a great teacher, and I hope you never change. I even enjoy when you scream out of no where because it keeps me on my toes.

Maybe drop the Fourier integral/transform and look at higher dimensional heat/wave/Laplace the last week instead? It was interesting, but that really made no sense to anyone in 1-2 lectures.

Dr. Zeilberger is an amazing professor. I'm so glad I had the privilege of having him teach me.

amazing teacher and genuinely cares about his students
