Privileges

If you qualify for membership, then your course grade will be computed in two ways. The first way is the usual way, counting everything, the second way only counting exam 2, the quizes, and the Final divided by 400 and multiplied by 500. Whatever is higher, is your course grade, determined according to the scale:

450-500: A ; 420-449: B+ ; 390-419: B ; 360-389: C+ ; 315-359: C ; 270-314: D ; 0-269: F No Curve!.

What do you need to do in order to join the Second Chance Club for Exam 1?

Don't write me Email asking me questions whose answers are clearly stated in this page.
Be in good standing as far as homework.
All absences must be excused.
For every problem that you got wrong in Exam 1 explain what you did wrong, and make up one similar problem and solve it (if applicable).
For each and every homework assignment HW1 through HW12, pick two problems at randon from the book, from that section (or make up your own similar problems) and do them.
These extra problems are due Monday, Nov. 24, 2025, 6:00pm.

Attend the WebEx review for Exam 2 (optional to everyone but mandatory for second-chance-club for Exam I members) on Sunday, Nov. 23, 2025, 7:00-8:30 pm. Invitations will be sent by Nov. 21.
