What do you like best about this course?:

I can't say I like quiz time...

She usually tells us a little math tidbit before the class starts, which I think is really nice as it hooks me into the lesson.

The pace of the material learned

The review problems before the recitation quiz really prepared me for the quiz.

It forced me to study.

Goes over lecture material

I liked Rebecca's attitude the most. She was always open and ready to help the students. She also seemed happy see us and be at class.

I enjoyed the fact that the instructor was enthusiastic about the material. Also, she simplified things and answered questions in a manner that we could understand the specific "math language".

Rebecca Gordon.

Rebecca was extremely helpful and understanding.

I did not like anything

Detailed and in depth

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

Give more time for the quiz!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would go over the lesson plan more thoroughly with Professor Naumova. It seems that Rebecca wants to let us understand the concept behind a certain theorem or proof better, but Professor Naumova already taught us that during lecture. Instead, I would suggest Rebecca to work on showing us more problems so that we can practice how to use a certain concept.

Have more time for quizzes for students

I would go over each of the problems step by step and have the problems ready before hand to cover in class. Also I would have the answers the the problems written down instead of figuring out how to do them during class time. It just makes the class run more smoothly and helps better understand the material. Oftentimes, professors realize that they made a small mistake in the beginning and have the go back and redo the whole problem and this takes away time from learning other important material.

I would give us more time on the quizzes.

Go over quiz questions better

I would have the class a bit more organized. Sometimes she seemed a little scattered, so we wouldn't be able to review all of the necessary material before the quiz.

I would only reinforce making sure homework problems from the book are done so that the topics are constantly being learned.

Not teach it.

I would give more time for the quizzes.

I would teach someone how to better explain and get to the point quickly

Nothing

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

It's a good review session.

N/A

None

I loved the little tidbit about fun stuff in math history at the beginning of each recitation. It really encouraged an actual interest in mathematics as a whole.

I am now more aware of the importance of calculus

Study more

She encouraged me to see math in everyday life. I really liked her little stories at the beginning of class. Her love for math made me like math more.

She makes me want to try and actually learn math despite my prior dislikes of the topics covered in the course.

none

it has helped me learn to teach myself the material

so helpful and made learning calc very enjoyable and easy. excellent teacher.

Other comments or suggestions::

Rebecca is a good TA! She answers questions patiently!

N/A

The TA spent more time on 'math history' than actually teaching required material. I felt unprepared going into each quiz, and became more confused during recitations.

Great course, horrible text books

No

Overall, I really liked Rebecca as a person. She is really sweet. My only suggestion is more planning maybe before class, but otherwise I liked her a lot.

Rebecca did a really great job answering questions and she's a TA who really believes in helping the students out.

I did not learn from this instructor . Could not get to the point or explain clearly . too much explanation. other teachers I went to for help could make things 100% easier in 5 minutes
