What do you like best about this course?:

Funny Guy!!!!!!! Great way to teach the class.

The teacher's attitude and his personality as an instructor.

maple labs

Pat is the best thing about this course

No matter what the topic was, he was able to make us understand it.

The maple labs.

nope

I liked the laid back style of the course it made the material easy to digest and approach.

It was very fun, and a lot easier than Calc 2.

its very informative

Devlin's teaching methods worked very well. He made calculus interesting, he taught in a way which made sense to me, and he was approachable with questions.

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

Slow down a little during recitation. Overall I wouldn't change anything. Good TA.

Not a single thing. Pat was awesome.

No

nothing

I really like your intuitive, "think about what's going on" teaching style; however, it might be beneficial to somehow incorporate a more organized, systematic approach simultaneously. That would really make your teaching the best of both worlds!

Nothing, Pat is great!

nope

I would have the angry birds also be through when the student has a question but at the part of the equation or graph that is causeing confusion. Increase class participation. Also would spend a little more time in the beginning goig over maple and how to use it.

Cancel the the 8:40 section. Half the class isn't there and a half of who is there is sleeping.

Nothing, our T.A did an amazing job.

nothing at all

Nothing.

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

Helped me with homework problems. Allowed me to adjust to New Brunswick's pace.

To picturize graphs

none

He really understands not only the concepts of the material in the class, but has a unique and very effective way of conveying his understanding to his students. A brilliant and interesting TA, always found ways to help his students understand, not only memorize. My only problem was he should be teaching lectures, his recitation classes were far superior to the actual professor teaching the class.

Pat's enthusiasm for mathematics is very encouraging.

nope

Patrick's authentic enthusiasm about the subject and the students he taught made the class interesting and fun. His relaxed and playful demeanor created a stress free setting which made learning less cumbersome.

He allowed me to look at the material from a different perspective, and help me relate to real world applications, such as physics.

in many ways

The way he taught was significantly better than the other TAs I've had. Most other TAs were not as fluent in english either so it wasn't as easy to articulate ideas.

Other comments or suggestions::

Great TA. Recommend to all students.

I would bring the Big Red Angry Bird in more. I'd also name Jeffrey. No reason behind the name. But I think Jeffrey is a good name for a big plush angry bird.

Best TA/Professor I have had at Rutgers so far, keep up the great work Pat!

nope

Pay is a great TA who is fair willing to help and make every student taking the course love going to class.

Very good at explain the concepts and purpose of things, but just a titch more emphasis on the order of operation for a problem would be helpful

Very good TA, would of rather him be the professor

Pat is an awesome T.A, fun, and extremely helpful.

great t.a
