Title: Phase space analysis in medical imaging
Abstract: An MRI is a device which measures the Fourier transform of
the proton density distribution of an object. I'll explain in more
detail how an MRI works. I'll describe some of the goals and
challenges of medical imaging - in particular reconstruction and
segmentation. I will also explain some applications of phase space
analysis in MRI and show how it can significantly improve the
results. In particular, I'll introduce wavefront detectors, which are
a promising new method of processing MRI data.
