The below list is by no means complete. As the semester progresses, I'll be adding more and more resourses, based on what topics
students seem to be having trouble with. Note that these resources are by no means requried for this course. Your homework will be through WebAssign,
and that is the only online resource that you
use. The below websites are merely extra resourses for those who want them.
Important: Make sure you get the correct version of the textbook and a Webassign access code.
We are using the third edition of Calculus with Early Transcendentals by Rogawski
and Adams. The second edition will not work for this class. The version without
Early Transcendentals will not work for this class. You also must have an access
code to
WebAssign. This is where you will complete
your homework for this class.
You have a few options for completing these purchases. A few are outlined on the
Math 151 homepage. You may also
purchase access directly from WebAssign. This also comes with an option to buy the ebook
with your access, if you would like to use that alone without a physical textbook. I have used
ebooks before in my own classes as a student (though, never through WebAssign), and I've found that
it has good and bad aspects. So, it's a personal choice for you. However, I belive the ebook option
costs a bit less than the option with access and a physical textbook.
If you will be also taking 152, it is likely in your best interest to purchase the premium access option,
as you will be using WebAssign in 152 as well, and the premium option gives you access for more than one
semester.
Finally, even if you have not yet purchased your access code, you can get free access to WebAssign and
its ebook for 14 days. This is particularly helpful if you are waiting for financial aid, you aren't sure
if this course is right for you, or if you have discovered you purchased the wrong thing and are working
on finding the correct materials.
