What do you like best about this course?:

Chloe interacts with the class in a way that wasn't even common in high school. She truly cares about student success

chloe urbanski , her nature and her teaching

Challenging, and always pushes students to learn more than what was expected.

The enthusiasm and the support Chloe brings to the classroom is incomparable to anything I have seen so far. Best TA 10/10.

She presented interesting facts about certain functions and allowed group work. In addition, she highlighted the relevancy of calculus in different fields.

Helpful time where I could ask questions on Portobello's that were not searchable.

How they split up the work and went through all the material effectively and efficiently.

I liked how the course was in combination with another subject such as physics, and how the subject was geared towards my major.

How easy I will it to be when I take Calc 2.

--

I liked the closely connected classroom, and how each person is helped out by the teacher.

idk

From hearing the experiences other people have with their calculus I TAs, Chloe was by far the greatest TA one could ask for. She continuously went above and beyond the work she had to do in order to ensure each student performed to the best of their ability. Having this workshop allowed for a deeper understand of the subject material, really get to know fellow students, and have a representative of Calculus 1 always willing to listen and answer a question.

If you were teaching this course, what would you do differently?:

More challenging quizzes

NA

Less challenging workshops. They focus too much on technical applications and less on the actual topic

N/A

Add another day of recitation per week, or find a way to decompress the curriculum for more time to understand it.

Maybe more group work

If I was teaching this course I would try to get more student led group participation, and try to get everyone involved.

I would give less WebAssign and grade easier.

I thought the course was fine as is.

If I were teaching this course, I would do more practice problems with the students to make sure they have enough examples to understand the concepts. I would also do more problems that would be similar to exam problems so that the students feel comfortable about what to study.

idk

Nothing.

In what ways, if any, has this course or the instructor encouraged your intellectual growth and progress?:

Workshops are hard but are very well made to enhance subject comprehension

discussing problems before the quiz, cross questioning during workshops and her sweet nature

Without the encouragement, class development and growth would not be possible.

In all the ways. Either by talking one on one or towards the entire classroom, Chloe has always tried her best to make sure we know the material and the concepts thoroughly. She is also very helpful in answering any questions we may throw her way. Absolutely a wonderful TA.

She peaked my interests with interesting facts that she presented to us. She made calculus a little more "fun"

Memorization is key.

I have learn a great deal from this course, the teacher and the TA were always there to help and ask questions to whomever needed it

The instructor has encouraged intellectual growth by allowing students to learn from their mistakes, and giving the most amount of aid possible to every student

Solving workshop problems helped improve teamwork and other skills...

The instructor was very welcoming and open, making it easier to approach her for help

The instructor has taught us lessons about how to study for exams, and gave us tips as to how to approach problems

idk

This course taught me to seek help and admit there is a lacking in certain areas in order to improve and become the best student one could be.

Other comments or suggestions::

Chloe is a great TA

asssistant of the TA was not good enough low on knowledge

Give her a raise!

Add another day of recitation per week, preferable days after lecture, to cement knowledge from lecture.

I want an A
