In this talk, I will define what it means for a sequence to be automatic, including some basic examples. We shall look at the sequences of the least non-zero digit of n! in base 2 through 11 and examine their automaticity. This will be a prequel to the automaticity of the sequence in base 12, which is based on a series of papers by Jean-Marc Deshouillers and Imre Ruzsa.
