This will be a closed book exam (and so will the final)

Sections covered:
1.2, 1.3, 1.4
2.1, 2.2, 2.3
3.1, 3.2, 3.3, 3.4, 3.5, 3.7
4.1, 4.2, 4.3

How to study:

1) Make sure you know how to do the homework problems TO PERFECTION!
   I will post practice problems for sections that have not been
   covered by the homework yet.

2) Read and understand the covered sections, including the proofs.
   Check for yourself that the proofs and examples in the book are correct.
   Memorize the definitions and theorems.
