Sections covered: 1.1-1.7, 2.1-2.5, 3.1-3.4, 4.1-4.5, 5.1-5.4.

Special notice: One problem on the final will be a homework problem, and another will be a midterm problem!

Office Hours:

Monday 12:50 pm in Scott Hall and Friday 2-3 pm in Hill Center 234.

Grading:

Midterm 1, Monday March 1 in class, 20%
Midterm 2, Thursday April 8 in class, 20%
Final exam, 40%
Weekly Homeworks, 20% total.

Homework Policy:

1) Late homework is not accepted.

2) It is fine to discuss the problems with others, but writeups must be individual. If you have received help for solving a problem, then cite your source(s).

Homework assignments will appear on the course web site.
