Math 191 - Honors Calculus I



Catalog Description

01:640:191-192 Honors Calculus I,II (4,4)
These courses cover the same material as 01:640: 151-152 but in a more thorough and demanding fashion. For students with a serious interest in mathematics.
Credit restrictions: CR1, CR2. Grades of B or better are required to continue in the honors sequence.

Textbook: Consult your instructor

  • Spring 2015: Michael Spivak's Calculus, 4th edition
  • Through Fall 2014: Rogawski (as in 151-152)

The final examination for 191-192 is set by the instructor. There are also honors sections of the regular calculus sequence, 151-152 which share a common final exam with 151-152, and use the same textbook as 151-152.

Beginning Spring 2015, 192 will be offered each term and 191 will be offered in the Fall semester.
