ELEMENTS OF ALGEBRA 640:027
01:640:027 Math 027 EAL |
Elements Algebra (E3) Prerequisite: Acceptable performance on placement test and permission of department. Not for students preparing for calculus. Review of fundamentals of elementary and intermediate algebra. Exponents, polynomials, solution of linear and quadratic equations. Focus on mathematical translation of verbal statements. |
Math 027 is a course designed to prepare students who place into Elementary Algebra (Math 025) for the Liberal Arts Mathematics course (Math 103). MATH 027 SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN BY ANY STUDENTS WHO INTEND TO TAKE PRECALCULUS, OR WHO NEED MATH 026 AS A PREREQUISITE FOR ANY OTHER COURSE. Although students may take this course to satisfy their basic skills requirement in place of the Math 025/026 sequence, they may not use this course as a substitute for Math 026. |
